We acknowledge that stability and support are critical parts of mental health, and thus prioritize connecting folks with needed resources in the community. This list can be a starting place.

This list is organized by both region and category of need

  • Colorado Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERAP): emergency housing and rental assistance.

    Colorado Coalition for the Homeless: housing assistance and wrap-around support services (life skills training, employment assistance, childcare, etc.) as well as health care services. Services are offered to individuals, couples & families.

    Family Tree Homelessness Program (Wheat Ridge): provides homelessness prevention services, information helpline, housing navigation and placement services, case management, as well as education and employment services for individuals and families experiencing homelessness or at-risk of homelessness.     Metro Denver Homelessness Initiative: coordinates services and housing for people experiencing homelessness, with the mission of getting folks housed as quickly as possible.

    Urban Peak: emergency shelter for youth (16-20), with resources of case management, counseling and mental health evaluations.

  • Hunger Free Colorado: has a Food Resource Hotline available for those who need help locating food. Call (855) 855-4626 Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. to find school meals, food pantries, and receive assistance with SNAP and WIC enrollment.

    Metro Caring: provides fresh foods, nutrition education, cooking classes and community garden workshops.

    Food Bank of the Rockies: food pantries located throughout Denver Metro; you can search within their website to identify a location near you. Assistance with SNAP applications is also available.

    FISH of East Denver: grocery deliveries for those who are home-bound or without transportation.

  • Colorado Crisis Services: 24/7 Crisis Line and Mobile Crisis Services; Call (844) 493-8255 or text TALK to 38255.

    WellPower Crisis Services Walk-In Center (Denver): In-person crisis support, information and referrals. Location: 4353 E. Colfax Avenue Denver, CO 80220.

    National Suicide Hotline: dialing 988 will connect you to the suicide hotline - formerly (800) 273-8255.

  • SafeHouse: provides emergency shelter services, non-residential counseling and advocacy services, and an extended stay program for survivors of domestic violence and their children, as well as a 24 hour crisis and information line. Contact: (303) 318-9989.

    Family Tree: provides a crisis line, emergency shelter, safety planning, legal advocacy, supervised parenting time and connection with community resources. All services available in both English and Spanish. Contact: (303) 420-6752 (24 hour crisis line); (303) 420-0412 (main line).

    Rose Andom Center: provides advocacy, children’s services, medical, counseling and civil and criminal legal services for victims of domestic violence, as well as information and support in identifying further resources. Contact: (720) 337-4400.

    National Domestic Violence Hotline: (800) 799-SAFE (7233).

  • Denver Hospice Grief Center: offers individual and group support, remembrance ceremonies, and anticipatory and post-death support for children and teens. Contact: (303) 321-2828.

    Heartlight Center (Aurora): grief support and education, including multi-week support programs, financial guidance and support after loss, and Spanish-speaking group services. Contact: (720) 748-9908.

    Judi’s House (Aurora): group counseling to grieving children and families - individuals are grouped with those of similar age and with similar death experiences - as well as educational workshops and short-term individual grief counseling. Contact: (720) 941-0331.

  • CuraWest: drug and alcohol detox facility providing medical detox, relapse prevention, case management, aftercare planning, and therapy services. Most major insurances are accepted. Contact: (888) 693-1794.

    West Pines Behavioral Health: medical detox, residential treatment and IOP services, with psychiatric care/medication management, therapy, and community support groups. Contact: (303) 467-4080.

    Porter Adventist Hospital (Intensive Outpatient): a 12-week comprehensive program with individualized rehabilitation plans to support long-term recovery. Contact: (303) 715-2300.

    Mile High Behavioral Health - Transcend: long-term recovery support via peer support, assistance in resource navigation, family therapy, parenting skills, social events, etc. Contact: (303) 825-8113.

  • Tepeyac Community Health Center: individual, couples and family counseling, support groups (e.g, depression, chronic disease management), crisis services, etc.. Services can be provided in both English and Spanish. Contact: (303) 458-5302.

    Servicios de la Raza: provides counseling, substance misuse treatment and prevention, peer support services, healthcare access, employment and financial coaching, victim services, and re-entry services. Contact: (303) 458-5851.

    Inner City Health: individual counseling services, ADHD/ADD assessments and referrals to resources in the community. Contact: (303) 296-1767.

    WellPower El Centro de las Familias: bilingual (Spanish and English) mental health services to adults, youth, children and families from the Latino/a/x and Hispanic community. Contact: (303) 504-1900.

 ENGLEWOOD RESOURCES

  • Colorado Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERAP): provides emergency housing and rental assistance.

    Severe Weather Shelter Network (SWSN): emergency shelter on severe weather nights; includes a hot dinner and breakfast. Spots must be reserved by phone or online, with reservations opening at 10 AM, day of.

    Mercy Housing: affordable housing for families, seniors, and individuals with special needs. Resources include affordable housing, supportive housing for the formerly homeless, transitional housing, permanent rental, and affordable homeownership opportunities.

    AllHealth Crisis Services Walk-In Center (Littleton): Open 24/7; offers support, information and referrals to children, adolescents, adults and families in crisis. Location: 6509 S Santa Fe Dr, Littleton, CO 80120 Contact: (303) 730-3303.

  • Agape Healthcare (Grief Support): provides short-term grief counseling, grief support groups, workshops and education. Contact: (720) 482-1988.

    Catalyss Counseling: provides individual and group counseling services for grief and loss as well as grief support groups. Contact: (303) 578-6318.

  • Peaks Recovery Center: provide alcohol and drug detox, inpatient rehabilitation, and intensive outpatient (IOP) services. Mental health needs will also be addressed with an onsite psychiatrist and individual, family and/or group counseling services. Peaks is not contracted with Medicaid/Medicare, but does accept some insurances and will verify coverage on your behalf. Contact: (888) 831-1679 (Admissions).

    Denver Springs: detox, inpatient rehab, and intensive outpatient (IOP) services with therapy services and peer-to-peer support groups. Telehealth option available for IOP. Contact: (720) 644-0025.
